The Dr. Paduru Gururaja Bhat Memorial Award was conferred to India’s prominent archaeologist and researcher Dr. A. Sundara.

The selection jury consisted of prominent persons like economists, prime minister’s economic advisor Marpalli Govindrao, ISAC Bangalore director, economists Dr. RS Deshpande and prominent historian from coastal district Dr. KG Vasantha Madhava.

As per their recommendation, the award trust has decided to confer the award to Dr. A Sundara. The award ceremony was held at MGM College, Udupi on April 13, 2013.
